This Privacy Policy explains how Vaelo ("Vaelo", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Vaelo mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By using Vaelo you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — your name, nickname, email address, and (optionally) phone number. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; we never store them in plain text.
Content you create — the flavor palettes and blends you save, and the feedback you send us, including any images or videos you attach.
Location — if you grant permission, your approximate or precise location is used to show nearby places on the map. You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
Photos & media — with your permission, we access selected items from your photo library so you can set a profile picture or attach media to feedback.
Usage & device data — basic technical information such as app interactions, device type, and app version, used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use your information

To provide and personalize the Service, including generating flavor and aroma blends and color palettes.
To show you nearby places and relevant recommendations on the map.
To send you a one-time verification code and essential account emails.
To respond to your feedback and support requests.
To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate Vaelo, and only as needed:

Cloud storage — media you upload (e.g. feedback attachments, profile pictures) is stored with our object-storage provider.
Email delivery — verification and account emails are sent through our email provider.
Hosting — our servers and databases run on reputable cloud infrastructure.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vaelo and its users.

4. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your profile, palettes, saved items, follows, and feedback from our systems. Contact us if you need help deleting your data.

5. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Children

Vaelo is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice in the app.
